FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the MPC Sample Toolkit?

The MPC Sample Toolkit is a browser-based collection of professional audio tools designed to speed up your sampling workflow. It includes features such as sample chopping, stem separation, waveform editing, time stretching, pitch shifting, audio-to-MIDI conversion, wavetable creation, and much more.

Which MPC models are supported?

The toolkit is designed to work with audio for virtually any music production workflow. It also includes dedicated project features for the Akai MPC Sample, while remaining useful for producers using other MPC models, FL Studio, Ableton Live, Maschine, and other DAWs.

Do I need to install any software?

No. The toolkit runs entirely in your web browser. Simply open the website, upload your audio, and start working.

Which audio formats are supported?

The toolkit supports the most common audio formats, including:

  • WAV
  • MP3
  • FLAC
  • AIFF
  • OGG (depending on the module)

Is my audio uploaded to the cloud?

This depends on the module you are using.

Some features process audio locally in your browser, while AI-powered tools (such as Stem Separation) may temporarily upload files for processing. Uploaded files are automatically removed after processing and are never stored permanently.

Is there a file size limit?

Yes. The current maximum upload size is 200 MB per file.

Is there a maximum audio length?

Yes. Audio files can currently be up to 15 minutes long.

Can I use the toolkit on my phone or tablet?

Yes. The interface is fully responsive and works on desktops, tablets, and modern smartphones.

Can I preview my edits before exporting?

Yes. Most editing modules include a real-time preview, allowing you to hear your changes before saving or exporting.

Can I export my work?

Yes. Depending on the module, you can export:

  • WAV files
  • ZIP packages
  • MIDI files
  • MPC Sample projects
  • Other supported formats

Can I edit existing MPC Sample projects?

Yes. The Project Editor allows you to open compatible MPC Sample project files, modify samples and chop data, and export updated projects.

Does the toolkit replace my DAW?

No. The toolkit is designed to complement your existing workflow, not replace your DAW. It helps you prepare, edit, organize, and process audio more efficiently before importing it into your preferred production software.

Is an internet connection required?

Yes. Since the toolkit runs in your browser, an internet connection is required.

Are my projects saved automatically?

If supported by the module you are using, your work may be automatically saved during your session. We still recommend exporting important work regularly.

Is the toolkit suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. The interface is designed to be simple enough for beginners while offering powerful features for advanced producers.

I found a bug. How can I report it?

We appreciate your feedback! Please use the built-in feedback form or contact us through our support page. Include as much detail as possible, including the module you were using and the steps required to reproduce the issue.

Will more features be added?

Yes! The toolkit is under active development. New modules, workflow improvements, and additional export options are added regularly based on user feedback.

Can I use the toolkit commercially?

Yes. You may use the toolkit to create audio for commercial music productions. However, you are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to any audio or samples you upload and process.
